What it is
Renders and edits OWM-format Wardley maps inside Obsidian notes using `wardleymap fenced code blocks, supporting components, evolution, annotations and styling. Written in TypeScript. Installed via Settings → Community plugins → Browse → "Wardley Maps".
Limitations
No release in ~21 months. AGPL licensing is a genuine consideration for commercial reuse. Small user base (22 stars) means bugs surface slowly. Obsidian-only. Note: Obsidian also renders Mermaid natively, so once your Obsidian build ships Mermaid ≥11.14.0, wardley-beta code blocks become a plugin-free alternative — check which you actually need.
The details

| Status, August 2026 | In the official Obsidian community plugin directory. 22 stars. Latest verified release v1.0.10, 29 November 2024 — so roughly 21 months without a release. Treat as low-activity but functional rather than abandoned; the shared OWM engine keeps improving underneath it. |
| Licence | AGPL-3.0 — note this is more restrictive than OWM's MIT. If you embed or fork this plugin's code in a network-accessible service, AGPL's network clause applies. |
